“This is great! Do you support PyCharm?”

VS Code has been very good to us. It’s where we started, and where Kolo has grown to more than 26,000 installs. And people love it.

VS Code reviews

Having Kolo deeply embedded in VS Code puts it within close reach whenever you're working on code. And VS Code has some beautiful extension APIs. But, we've found some of our newer features requiring more layout and UI which was harder to make work in VS Code.

The biggest drawback of VS Code, though, is the same as any editor: not every developer uses it. And no matter how good a tool is, people aren’t going to change their IDE. While VSCode is dominant, for one in three Django developers, you’d have to prise PyCharm out of their cold, dead hands.

Well, good news, folks. You don’t have to. Kolo is no longer just for the 47% of developers who use VSCode. Nor is it just for the 29% who use PyCharm. It’s for everyone. Kolo is now available on the web, for everyone, for free. It’s also the neatest way to generate tests, instantly.

There’s a bunch more to come from us, but supporting PyCharm has been one of our top requests, so we wanted to share this with you.
